Intelometry both generates and collects utility load profiles for numerous utilities and their associated ISOs nationwide. These profiles are made available to subscribers of the Intelometry Utility Load Profile Service. The load profile data sets cover the complete range of profiles used by each utility for settlement, including long-term and short-term forecasts, backcasts, and actual settlement profile data.
Load profile sets are produced in standardized, user-friendly formats and provided to subscribers in MS Excel. Subscribers can access these outputs directly from the Intelometry inRetail system or via File Transfer Protocol (FTP). This service ensures that retail suppliers always have access to current utility load profiles for meter profiling, settlement, scheduling, and long-term forecasting, utilizing the latest methodologies, settlement profiles, and weather data.
Load Profile Modeling
Intelometry models and generates a comprehensive set of load profiles for many utilities nationwide. These profiles are created using weather response functions provided by the utilities, combined with the latest hourly historical, forecast, and normalized weather data. Intelometry produces hourly forecasts and backcasts for all profiles and utilities daily.
Profile sets are available in standard formats provided in MS Excel. Customers using Intelometry’s inRetail system can directly access load profiles of any subscribed utility. Those not using the inRetail system can access the profiles daily via FTP.

Settlement Load Profile Collection
Intelometry collects settlement load profiles posted by numerous electric utilities nationwide across various ISOs. These settlement load profile sets are updated and posted daily. For utilities that do not post settlement profiles, Intelometry generates them using actual historical weather data against the associated weather response function of each load profile.

Whenever a utility updates a weather response function, issues a new load profiling methodology, introduces a new load profile class, or updates an existing class, MAG reviews the change and updates Intelometry’s internal load profiling methods accordingly. Subscribers receive notifications detailing these changes and their impact on load profile sets.
